    New speakers present placement problems

I wanted suggestions on my new speaker placement. The new Paradigm 20's are heavier, and bulkier than my Athena's, and I'm not sure I trust wall mount brackets. Please give me any ideas you might have for placement mounting/stands.

Your wall mounts will be fine if:

    - They are screwed into the wall studs
    - The mounts will support the extra weight
    - The screws will support the extra weight

If they aren't screwed into the studs, then you'll need to use an appropriately sized toggle bolt. Here's a link to a page on wall hangers that may help. Toggle bolts are well down the page.

What's the weight difference between the Athena's and the Paradigm's?

Thinking about building some mini statements for mains and surrounds. Before I do so, I wanted to check on the intended placement and make sure it would be alright. Here is a preliminary layout of the space I plan on finishing.

      802D placement
      by ray5
      Hi!
I am thinking of getting the 802D's. Just worried about it's weight indenting and scratching my hardwood floors. What have you guys done to get around this? Do you put anything underneath it? Will that affect the acoustics? Thanks,
      Ray

      Hi.

If my Rotel 1056 doesn't come back fixed (which I hope it does), I have chose the following in my price range to consider (Rotel included for comparison).

I was quite surprised to see quite a difference in weight.

      NAD T753 $1500 CAD 90 w/ch 6.1 ch -...

      Hi !
I have few ideas on tuning my speaker setup. I would like to get your opinion on them. Do you think it makes sense? Do you think it may help or not? If some ideas seem to be good for you but there is something you would like to add? This kind of feedback I'm counting on.
