Where to get power cable for newTV

I just bought a new Samsung DLP TV and the power cord doesnt reach my surge protector. Instead of using an extension cord I would rather replace the cord with a longer one. Question is, where can I find one and how do I make sure it will fit on the tv end? I am not looking for an esoteric high priced power cord, just want good build quality for fair price.

Depending on your definition of "esoteric" and "high-priced" talk to Doug at CAT Cables. He's a forum sponsor-and owner. I'm very happy with the sonic and build quality of CAT's interconnects , and he has power cords according to the website-just click on the link at the bottom of the page.

My bad. Check the Quantum Cable link to the top right of the CAT link , the power cables are there. Sorry about that ops:

If you're not really brand conscious then check out the ad-link above the web page for PARTS EXPRESS. They have good quality power cords w/c are not very high-price & also if your willing enough to make one by your own so you could choose the length then try to check it out.

Turns out I dont need one anymore. I reconfigured my gear and the supplied power cable that came with the tv will be long enough.

Thanks for the suggestions - if i need one down the road i now know where to go.

              Rotel 1565 power cord issue
              by RoMan
Quick question. What is the best way to secure the power cord in the socket of my Rotel RMB 1565 amp? Everytime I need to move my cabinet the power cord seems to lose contact with the socket and the amp shuts off. I'm finding I need to turn off the amp, and then reach in and push it in to get a good...

Cheap way to power an amp on/off
              by Andrew Pratt
I have two power amps one has a built in power off and on toggle that my pre amp controls but my Class A Musical Fidelity amp does not. Given the Class A design this amp is sucking a lot of current from the wall and I wished I had a way to turn it on and off without resorting to an X10 switch or some...

              by toledoguy
I need to purcahse a replacement power cord for a Rotel RMB-1066 Amp. Nothing wrong with the old power cord, I purchased it from an friend and the amp works fine. Marchand PR41 Passive Pre-amp
              by ThomasW
First off let me say that this product is too weird.

              1)NO power cord
              2)NO off/on switch.

How's it supposed to work :?

And what do they mean by "passive"? My old Sony TA-E90ES pre-amp is "passive" too, unless you touch it, it just...
