"Mini" Speakers for Living Room HT

My parents are extending their living room and would like to buy a small set of speakers for the HT.

By "small," I mean small, like Blose cubes or so. I suggested they look at the Paradigm Cinema series, Gallos, and my dad ran across the small Def Tech system.

What are your thoughts on the above systems? The price point is around $1000 +/- for the speakers.

    Thanks!

we use the gallo 5.1 system - 5 of the micro's with the TR1 sub in our installations where a smaller speaker is needed and they are great. The new titanium micro sounds very good and for the $ they are hard to beat. I call them the Bose Bashers .

Ooh, BobD beat me to the punch mentioning the Gallos. We've used them in several installations now and they are really nice speakers for the size and price. Their subs rock too.

I hear good things about the Energy speakers but I've never heard them personally.

We are buying a new place with a small living room, dining and kitchen. About 600' total. Speakers need to be a small footprint and can be fairly close to the walls, probably a two way bookshelf. A sub will be used. Music is also a factor for me. Mark K's ER18DXT looks interesting. But is that...

              by tore_v1
I've got a rather small room right now, 3*4m, and I've got the following setup:
DDDAC (five towers) (movie/music server connected with USB)
              Sota Comet, RB301 and a Denon DL304
              Musical Fidelity A308cr pre
              Muse Model Three Hundred mono's

              The room is rather small,...

I'm itching to start a new build and wanted to gather fellow forum members' thoughts on the following 3-way:

              • Woofers: RSS210HF-4 (Pair In-Series).
All of the above are well tested by JonMarsh. I'm also choosing these as all of the above are already...
