I have an Elan amplifier with 6 channels. Channels 1 & 2 seem to work, but the rest don't respond to my test. I am testing by hooking up a speaker to the amplifier, then hook up an audio cable to the amplifier, then touch my finger on the end of the audio cable. If I hear sound through the speaker, I know I have power, if not, theirs a problem. Any suggestions on how to actually test it here at the house without sending it into Elan. I have a multi-meter, and a bit of audio experience.

The Cambridge Audio 651W is now my new go-to amplifier for small and portable for speaker measurements. I got spoiled by the Benchmark AHB2- the 651W isn't truly an AHB2 replacement, but it's as close as you have any right to expect...-

by gostanI am sure you have seen my recent posts about upgrading my Rotel 1075 amplification source which is insufficient to run my HTM1 center and my 805 rear surrounds. An Aragon 8008 (200 x2) runs the 803's. My dealer loaned me a Goldmund Job 200 monoblock (200w x 1) to demo running the center channel....-

by kengayI am looking to get a Elan zfan2 to cool my Yamaha RX Z9. The guys at the A/V store told me I can use the zfan trigger to turn on and off the zfan whenever I power on and off my RX Z9 but they don't know how to do this.
Does any body know how to do this and what additional stuff I need... - Loading...
