Pioneer Elite BDP-05FD bluray player. It's not profile 2.0 but I don't care about connecting it to the internet. Supposedly Pioneer concentrated on getting faster load times and the best picture quality and audio quality!

Well I just finally ordered my new amp and for now I got a Sony STR-DA3300ES to hold me over while waiting for Emotiva's new pre/pros. Oh I also recently got a PS3 80gb and a new Logitech Harmony One will be here tomorrow.

I think the next big purchase will be a new display. I'm thinking along the lines of a 50+" LCD unit. Not sure which brand or model just yet.

Yeah I actually have 3 PS3's at the moment.... They were all broken at one point and I fixed them lol. 1 40gb 2 80gb. I will probably keep an 80gb and I'm giving one to my friend in exchange for his panny BD player and some cash. It has a door that covers the buttons and stuff so I'll probably use it in the kids room. I may put the 40gb in my room not sure if I want to keep it or sell it yet.

I am really drooling over the Emotiva's XPA-3. I need a good amp to power the ZDT3.5's I am building. The more I look at Emotiva the more I want one. NAD is also in the running. They both seem to have good price/performance value.

I would take Emotiva over Nad any day Does Nad have a 71lb 3 channel amp? Probably not lol.... I don't know Emotiva's price compared to performance seems on the amazing side. Can't argue with 400w x2 for 2 channel listening

PS3--with BD, HD PVR and HD DVD, I think I have all the HD formats (save D-Theater) covered. We'll be in the next decade before the HT gets anything "scheduled" as an upgrade.

If I get my way it'll be a 2-channel amp or a pair of monoblocks, sometime late spring. Halo, Bryston or Musical Fidelity are my initial prefs.

Realistically though (meaning Jen votes, too ) it'll probably be a propane-fueled whole-house generator for those lovely frozen winter nights when the power goes out.

For me, it'll be a new hi-def A/V amp or receiver. My Rotel 1056 is still doing a great job but it's time for a new one! Not sure what one yet. The Arcam AVR-600 interests me greatly. Also the Rotel 1560 has my attention too.

I'll also have to listen to Yamaha and Denon but the first two are where my head and heart is telling me to go.

Next big upgrade for would be for me to get a different projector next summer... that's when I can get an actual job(no more paper route) and by then the bulb on mine will have died, and it's not worth replacing the bulb on my projector.

Wow, a 2-year-old post. I've been out for too long. Since this date, I've upgraded the projector, the screen, put it all in a new room, added blu-ray/HD-DVD...

My next purchase is going to be some Onkyo receiver so I can do new HD formats, but then again when I go to college I doubt I'll have the room for HT or room mates and neighbors to tolerate it.

Right now I'm a bit stuck between a rock and a hard place.

We stopped using our family room for HT 6 years ago, but recently we've been wanting to go back to this. In the mean time, the kiddos broke the Display, and it only has a LP/CD+Stereo setup. The bedroom has a decently enough little setup, but the display is only 24".

So we're headed back to square one ...

Purchases (as of well today) will be in no certain order
Display: Epson Home Cinema 1080 UB or Panasonic TC-P50S1 (damn the Panny is an awesome value at $1100)

New Order

Have just placed an order for a second set of Signature Diamond speakers in the Wakame finish for my living room surround sound. Apparently, there are only two sets left in North America right now, so I took the leap. I loved my first set (got them about a year and a half a go), couldn't get over the Diamond tweeter and crystal clear sounds, especially with female voices. It will take me a bit to get them paid for but at least I'll have them by the end of the year. Can't wait!!

However, I just pulled the trigger on a pair of B&W 804S speakers and an HTM3S speaker.

Next will be the surrounds and an external amp.
