    Adcom GTP-880 Preamp/Proc

    Has anyone used/heard/seen this unit?

    How does it stack up against the competition? i.e. rotel, B&K, sherwood, etc...

    I have read numerous raving reviews on the web, but just wanted to get some end user feedback.

      I'm looking at pulling the trigger on an H&K receiver and using it as a preamp/proc, feeding the preamp outputs to a separate multichannel amp. The main reason for this is that I want to be able to comfortably drive a 4 ohm load, which is lower than most mid-fi receiver's published capabilities....

      No retailers carry them anymore. Their product line has been limited and most of it has been out for extended period of time. I like the features of the Adcom GTP-880 preamp, but I'm afraid to make the purchase due to any reliability/quality issues that there...
