I think if I could remember it right it's called "Somewhere in the world, there's a cowboy smiling." It was released in the mid-80s or late 80's, I have been looking around for this band but always end-up, not even getting their name.
What's the name of the band of this 80's song?

Blue Zoo - "Somewhere In The World There's A Cowboy Smiling"/"Don't Walk Away" (7 inch single) magnet 1981
http://www.discogs.com/release/139165
The record appears to be quite hard to find and it doesn't look like anyone out there on the 'net has a 30 second legal sample to listen to. (I ran across a post from June 2000 where a fellow was lamenting that he couldn't find "Somewhere In The World There's A Cowboy Smiling" on Napster either -- it must be really rare.)

WinMX came up with one song at 128kb "Cry Boy Cry" and that was about it, but I think it was the only song that I like from them since they probably did 1 or 2 albums.
Even our local radio station that plays 80's song during the weekends(98.7) don't have any clue about this band although I would love to hear that song. And the place where I buy alot of 80's music in Melrose Ave does not carry the product anymore.- Bottom

If rock and roll from the eighties was your particular era, you will probably already have seen Rock Of Ages, so I won't bother with the story line. The 40s/50s was more my era, but I had three sons who were so into rock and roll ( and the 80s was their era ) that I sometimes ran from the house screaming....-

by OvationThough I've had the deluxe box set for several years, it wasn't until a few months ago that I finally got to it in the way I'd hoped when I purchased it. We've made it a (mostly) weekly family activity to watch 2-3 episodes of The Wonder Years (me, my wife--who'd never watched it originally, my 17 year...-

by bigburnerThen listen to my son's band's latest song "Gore 2 da FLOOR", which he recorded and mixed in his bedroom last Saturday.
It is amazing what can be done with software these days. A few years ago this recording would have required racks and racks of equipment.
This...-

by Chris DAnother post here in the Guide reminded me of a CD I have that I've enjoyed for years, but most people would never have heard of. I went to a big concert at the famous Red Rocks ampitheater in Denver, Colorado the summer of 1992 (right before my senior year of high school) that had about 6 excellent...-
