    Welcome to In Tune

This is my official welcome speech. Thanks to the gracious and benevolent owner, Lexman, this is where I will hang my hat. First, I love music. Long before there was a monster HT, there were my friends and I huddled around a boom box. I grew up in the Austin music scene. I spent my years in high school chasing around Stevie Ray Vaughn and Willie Nelson. Throughout my adult years and changing tastes there is one constant: the guitar. I listen to classic rock, metal, alternative, blues, and jazz. That's just for starters.

It's my goal that we discuss and review what is current (BackStreet Boys excluded), what is classic, and what has plain class. It's impossible for one man to cover the entire scope of the musical spectrum. Between CDs, DVD 5.1, and vinyl I will have my hands full.

Which is where you fine people come in. You have experiences and tasts that are collectively far broader than my own. If you get ahold of a great album, tell us about it. If a Top 40 CD you purchased is horribly produced and not worth the plastic its printed on, tell us. If you pull something out of the CD rack and rediscover it again for the first time, tell us.

If it's one think we all have in common, it's music; be it country, rock, alternative, blues, jazz, rap, R&B, etc. My goal is that we keep this forum flooded with good music for all to learn about.

3 cheers for Music Man Ken! Excellent welcome speech. Better not eliminate Brittany though, my daughter would have a fit. I think she can take or leave Backstreet Boys though. You know, she has actually turned me on to some of her pop artists, to my enjoyment. I find myself listening to some of it when she isn't even with me, lol. Shhh, don't tell her. But when Dave's True Story rolls around on the 10 disc car changer, she usually rolls her eyes at me. lol.

A few of the ones I like are:
    1. Christina Aguilera
    2. Jessica Simpson
    3. Britanny
    4. Mandy Moore

Some of these young artists have some real talent. But the staying power to grow with styles as they mature I believe will belong to number 1 on the list, Christina. Give her a listen, including Genie in a Bottle.

    Lex

Look for her in upcoming roles Jessica Chastain Wow!

She's red headed, fair skinned, beautiful, and talented, and Julliard trained. Al Pacino once requested her for a part in a play he was doing, after she was recommended by someone, and she was on her way... She thinks she's a wallflower, likes to blend in a room, not stand out. That has to be pretty...
