Robin Trower has done it again

Robin Trower's new CD "Where You Are Going To" is currently my favourite new album of 2016. It was released two months ago and has been on constant play since it entered my house. Every song is good. The tone that he gets out of his Fender Stratocaster is as delicious as it's ever been.

Trower is now 71 years old and is playing as well as he ever has. He wrote all of the songs on this new album and he is the vocalist on all of them. Producing something as good as this album at his age is an inspiration to me.

I know that there's another Robin Trower devotee lurking on this forum. Apologies for forgetting who you are. I recommend that you buy this album. While you're on-line (or at the shop) you might also like to buy an old DVD of his that I discovered a few months ago - "Rock Goes To College" - recorded in 1980. It's well worth the investment.

    Nigel.

I have been hearing some of this on XM Radio Bluesville. Pretty nice stuff, glad to see he's making a comeback. I still noticed some of his trademark sound, so it's not radically different, but very good! Well, what I have heard anyway. :-)

In 74 I probably looked something like this:

In '74 I was 12 years old, two years from my first concert-KISS! That reads so funny now. I'm glad Robin Trower is still at it and in good form, but not surprised. He has a rare level of talent. Thanks for the heads up!
