Peter Paul and Mary were mainstream before my time, but I do have fond memories of Puff the Magic Dragon growing up. Listened to it on LP, had it on sheet music for the piano, watched the TV cartoon.

Me too. I was well into adulthood before I realized PP&M were big supporters of Daniel Ortega , Fidel Castro and Che "The Butcher" Gueverra. I had the "Puff" album when I was a kid , probably one of the first LPs I owned-if not the first. The death of Ms. Travers is an occasion for reflecting on her contributions to American music. I offer my condolences to her family and friends , and regret flying off the handle with my own nonsense. The death of another human being is not what I would consider an "opening" for diatribe. I stepped over the line.

Thank you , George. A nod from you would normally be a cause for some ego inflation , but my previous bad decision will keep me quite humble.
