For everone who has this DVD Audio, I was wondering if it is worth getting. I can only get it from England-online for $50.
Is it worth the trouble and $$$ ?
Really? It's worth that much? I picked it up early on in my high-res audio collection building days, so I've had it for quite some time. It's not bad. Mastering could be better, there is some background hiss. But there's some nice use of surround, like in the jamming guitar solo of "Enter Sandman", it spins around the room. I'd recommend it for a Metallica fan, but not for every Joe Schmoe. (or J6P)

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley. - Pleasantville
I've also had this for years. Sounds great, but it honestly rarely gets played as it should since I can't sit down for Metallica!
As an aside, I recently found a cassette of this still sealed in its original wrapping while cleaning out the attic.
I am shocked it has a $50.00 price tag. I suppose it would be worth that to a big fan or collector, but I wouldnt pay that for it. I got mine early also, I think it was around $15 or therabouts.
Haven't got the DVD audio version but have got the CD, and would rather be playing mine with the dedicated CD player going to the amp directly. Gotta admit my most listend album lol
I would prefer playing the album as a CD on my shanling cd player directly to my rotel amplifier instead of playing the album as a dvd through my marantz dvd player and yamaha receiver as a pre amp. In my case the DVD A version is redudant. Love the CD.
