Some Great Multi-Channel SACDs and DVD-As

This list is in no particular order. Also be advised that their are lots of SACDs out there that are not "Multi-Channel". Many are only "Stereo". All the ones I have listed are multi-channel but some of the same albums also come in stereo. So pay close attention before you buy.

    Chicago II - Chicago, DVD-A

Avolon - Roxymusic Roxc SACD9, SACD

Chris Botti - Night Sessions, SACD

Robert Cray - Time Will Tell, DVD-A

Spyro Gyra - The Dep End, SACD

Steely Dan - Every Thing Must Go, DVD-A (Also available in SACD)

    Donald Fagen - Kamakirad, DVD-A

    Eagles - Hotel California, DVD-A

Jazzin Surround (By Telarc) SACD sampler

Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, SACD (Also available in DVD-A)

Billy Joel - The Stranger and 52nd Street, SACD

Gloria Estefan - Greatest Hits, SACD (this is one of those albums that comes in both multi-channel and stereo)

David Sandborn - Time Again, DVD-A

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon, SACD (A classic that everyone can relate to. A great reference CD.)

Pieces of a Dream - No Assembly Required, SACD

Queen - The Game, DVD-A ("Another One Bites The Dust" will blow your socks off!)

Sting - Brand New Day, DVD-A (Also available in SACD)

LAGQ (Los Angeles Guitar Quetet) - Guitar Hero's (Another great reference album! Telarc recorded this with each of the four band members playing in their own seperate channel! Amazing!)

I purchase the majority of my music on line through www.towerrecords.com. They have great prices and the quickest free delivery for orders over $20.00 I have ever seen!

Have fun! If you buy any of the albums I have listed, I would really be interested in hearing your opinions of them.

I was going to order some titles from http://www.dtsonline.com
Apparently these have both DTS and MLP tracks.

Take note that I made a correction to my previous post. The Chicago DVD should actually read "Chicago II - Chicago. The Chicago - Chicago DVD is actually a DTS DVD and not a DVD-A.

          DVDA/SACD Connections to 1066
          by Mike Hayes
I am considering purchasing a Pioneer 563A ($180) universal player to replace my Toshiba SD5700. I am currently using just the digital connection (not using the 5 analog cables for DVDA). This will be my first experience with DVDA/SACD in conjunction with my 1066 so please bear with me.

Help on setting up for DVDA
          by Danbry39
Just bought my first DVDA, Vivaldi's Four Seasons, and need to know how to set up the Rotel 1066. Denon 1600 DVD player to output DVDA. Right now, I've placed the disc in the 1600 and sound seems to come out of all speakers after I pushed the Multi Imput button on the Rotel's front panel. The display...

Results of my CD v SACD test
          by sfdoddsy
I posted below my desire to check out the advantages of SACD versus CD, which has been difficult for me because I use a digital crossover/roomEQ system that redigitizes everything. I already have about 30 DVD-As and SACDs.

Well, I'm upgrading that digital stuff at the moment, and have...

          Telarc question
          by Foxman
          Alright,

I realize I should probably know this by now, but, well I simply don't. I was reading S&V mag while getting my hair cut today and there was an article about Telarc's Requim(sp?) and I know I have seen some discussion about this. From the article it sounded like this Telarc...
