Yep. This is one of those urban legends that has been around for many, many years.
If you have an LP that sounds so poor you are willing to cover it with Elmer's wood glue...........well, go right ahead & be my guest. May as well get out the Silly Putty, too!- Bottom

It's amazing what people come up with!!. If you take care of your vinyl in the first place, you probably would not have to go to this extreme to begin with.
I've also heard that some people play their vinyl 'wet'. Has anybody got any feedback on this??.Dan Madden :T- Bottom

Now THAT's funny, right dere.
... hmmm.... now that I think about it, since a dog's mouth is supposed to be super clean, maybe that IS a good way to go.

Let me tell ya something. When I was a teenager and had a dog, that dog would jump up on my bed and start to lick my hand. He would proceed to lick it for 20-30 mins and as the dog did it, I could feel that every pour of my hand was cleaned like the day I was born. I can only imagine what that could do for vinyl!! ACK !!. :-)Dan Madden :T- Bottom

by Kevin PMy hobbies and interests wax and wane, as I burn out on one and take up another... and recently I've started spinning those 12" vinyl discs again while I work.

by cobbpaMy grandfather passed away nearly a year ago and we are now cleaning out his house. There are probably between 100-150 records, a lot are gospel & such, but here are a few I picked out from artists I recognized or titles that seemed familiar. Are any of these anything rare & valuable, or mostly...-
