    Replacement Phono Cartridge/Stylus

Can any of you recommend a a good cartridge/stylus discounter? I need to replace the stylus on my Sony direct-drive (PSFL-72 II) but the Shure site doesn't recommend a replacement model. I'd love to buy just a replacement stylus, but realize this may not be possible as the cartridge (N110HE Shure) is discontinued.

Haven't had to replace a cartridge for 9+ years, so I'm in a bit of a dither..Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Hello Susan,

Audio Advisor carries a wide range of products, including phonograph cartrigdes of many makes- even Shure! May not be the lowest possible prices, but there's a lot of selection. Check this link:

Hope this helps out- it's not easy these days getting a cartridge, haven't bought one for my Denon and Linn Itok combo in years.

    Regards,

    Jon

      Susan,
Have you had any luck finding a new cartridge?

I have a Sony PS-T22 Direct Drive and was curious what you may have come up with.

          by kiko
          Hi everyone

I am shopping for a new cartridge + stylus for my turntable, or so I think. I currently own an entry-level Stanton T50x turntable bought 5 years ago when I wasn't too sure going back to vinyl would be as exciting and feasible as it is now. I run that Stanton through a Yamaha...

Anybody seen Susan? Just curious. I haven't seen her in a good while. I hope she's ok, and it's just computer problems.

cartridge alignment, worth a tweak ?
          by vatulele
Ive just got myself a new cartridge ( Denon DL-304 ) and rather than doing the lazy thing and getting my local dealer to fit it for me I am considering spending a few pounds on tools and a test record and having a play and a tweak ! Am I wasting my time and in danger of adding grey hairs or opening...

          Best Turntable Cartridge for $400-$700?
          by Russ L
Yes I've done it. Despite my ravings about my Cambridge Audio 840C CD player sounding so analog :blah: I've just purchased a Clearaudio Emotion Turntable with a Moon LP 3 Phono stage. Well its just plain fun isn't it! And I had an empty top shelf on my audio rack to fill... looks great. Was wondering...
