Would my setup benefit from a voltage stablizer

In another thread I asked a question about my houshold voltage being in the 115v-118v range and if it was normal. Household . I was wondering would my setup benefit from a Monster Voltage Stabilizer. Everything in my setup except my amp states Power requirements of 120v.

The 120volt badge is nominal and is there to tell you that the device uses standard 120volt single phase power.

The notion that there is something fundamentally wrong with the AC power that enters our homes is usually unfounded. The power supply and its associated regulator in all your equipment is designed to output DC voltages that are constant over a wide range of AC input.

The 'Voltage Stabilizer' is a nifty device for sure, and does about everything you'd ever want in the way of noise filtering, sequenced outlets, surge protection, and swell buttons displays and lights. The Monster HTS5000mkII you are presently using already provides most of those desireable features (and in my opinion is overkill ). There is little or nothing to be gained by ensuring your line is at 120volts +/-1%.

You maybe correct but since it was only 1mth old and I got it for $300CDN and my Monster HTS1000mkII powerbar I couldn't pass it up.

        Voltage stabilizer N803S and MC402
        by sorpe
        Hello,

I'm wandering about inserting a power conditioner and a power stabilizer with: N803S, MC402, MF pre and transport.

What is the impact in the functionality, in sense of current (performance) limitation ?

What do you recommend: other than Richard Gray....

Amp plugged into the Monster AVS2000?
        by Race Car Driver
Now ive read alot of posts, and alot of people state that a dedicated 20 amp circuit is the best choice for your amps.
I dont discount that at all, or disagree, makes perfect sense.

Now my question is the Monster AVS 2000 voltage stabilizer, if one were to have a 20amp circuit,...

        Panamax or Monster
        by Clive
Hi, I have been reading the specs on both the Panamax and the Monster Power Conditioners. I am in the market to buy a conditioner this week but I have one question. The Monster specifies that it also "Stabilizes" power to your gear with Stage 4 protection. The Panamax group protects and seem...

        Anyone own a Monster AVS2000
        by ht_addict
Just looking for some feedback on performance of the Monster AVS 2000 from those who own one. Currently my Monster 5000mkII indicates power levels of 108-115v coming out of my socket. Only late at night does it come close to 120v. All my equipment(RPTV, DVD, receiver) require a 120v source. My 1095...
