    Phono pre-amp

    Hi folks,

I'm looking for a good phono-preamp to connect my DUAL CS5000 fitted with the Ortofon OMB20 MM cartridge to my Musical Fidelity M6i integrated amplifier.

I read a lot about different pre-amps in the 300-400€ price range but it's very difficult to decide if you cannot compare them yourself. The ones that cought my attention are:
    •Rega Fono MM
•Graham Slee GRAM AMP2 SE (MM)
    •Clearaudio Nano Phono (MM/MC)
    •Lehman Audio Black Cube (MM/MC)
    •Creek OBH-18 (MM)
Does anybody have any experinece with some of these?

    Thanks

By used - of your choices I say Lehman Black Cube or Graham Slee. I had a Graham Slee Era Gold IV and was pleased with in. Sold it when I got my McIntosh C2300 preamp.

What about the Cambridge Audio 640P? They do not cost that much and people say they fight about their weight. I use one and enjoy it. I have not had a chance to compair it to others though. You can also do a lot of tweaking with it if you do not mind a little soldering.

I am just waiting to get some time to build my Pass Pearl 2.

          Phono stage for RA 1570?
          by bokes
anyone who has Rotel1570- how good is the phono stage?
I currently have a Lehman black cube I use with AVR.
Considering the 1570 and curious if I will need the cube.

Also how would you bypass the internal phono stage?
Would I still connect to phono into or do I go...

Has anyone every seen or heard one of these? My HIFI dealer recommended one of these in my budget (ATM) for my Rega P5. Now, I was initially interested in the Graham Slee era Reflex, but I hear its very detailed. I already have a detailed Benchmark DAC1 music server and kinda want that warm easy listening...

Halo JC 3 -- a step up from previous phono preamps in my system
          by Burke Strickland
A while back on this forum in a discussion about the Halo JC 1 power amps & JC 2 BP preamp that I am enjoying in my 2 channel music system, Chris D predicted that the next hi-fi component I would buy is the JC 3 phono preamp. At the time I wasn’t sure that was in the cards. I recognized its...

          RDC-7's Phono Stage
          by Burke Strickland
Anyone else "into" vinyl? NOT the kind you wear -- such as 1970's disco pants :>) -- but rather, the kind you spin for music. In other words, LPs!

One nice feature of the RDC-7, which you won't find in many competing models, is the built-in phono stage. Given the superb...

Question about Rotel 1575 & more
          by manjo
          Hi all,

Just joined this forum. Have a few questions.

          1st question:
I am considering a Rotel 1575, and PSB Image T65 speakers and SV12 plus sub-woofer. The question is does the 1575 have provision for a subwoofer ? The spec says 5x250W receiver, but I thought if...
