    Your Humble Opinion

    Hello All,

I have a pair of b&w p6 but want to sell or trade them for a pair of paradigm
studio 60's. i'm using a rotel 1075 amp to run the b&w's. sometimes they sound great and somrtimes just okay. do the b&w's need more power? if so i'd rather get the paradigms instead of getting a new amp. what's your opinion?

I doubt you'd need more power as the P6 has a senstivity of 90dB and a 8 ohm impedance. Does drop to 3.5 ohms but I think your Rotel would do okay, unless it has a low damping factor say 100 or less. If the bass sound bloated or boomy that could be a possible problem.

What's your complaint about the speaker? Could be a placement issue. If the bass seems thin and the over sound is on the bright side, try moving them back closer to the rear wall.

You say some stuff sound good and some doesn't... what's the source?

Hate to say it, but you sure it's just not the Music source. I have a decent system and there is little that can be done for some of the horribly mastered CD's these days.

          Hi June,

I don't know the p6 but I do know the Studio 60 S3 and it's a great speaker for its price. I could easily live with a pair of them.

          Nigel.

What's the word big birds? I am joining this forum per the recommendation of a reviewer from audioreview.com that read my latest review. I have some qualms about my purchase as I used to be a faithful Marantz owner and it looks like this is the right place to rock.

I don't know why but we don't see much talk about this pre-pro anymore, so I've decide to post a "mini-review", because it's a direct comparaison between an almost top of the line receiver and a dedicated pre-pro. I see alot of post on this "hot subject": good receiver or real pre-pro,...

            Hi all,

As an update to my original posting "New Member, New Rotel RSX-1055 (giving my humble opinion)", I downloaded the firmware and upgraded my receiver. Everything went smoothly. However, the issues I listed in my posting have not been solved. They still exist. UGH. No biggie...

            My New SVS 25-31Pci
            by efarstad
I'm just a simple guy who loves HT. Like many I heard A LOT about SVS and their subs...then I saw that their new PCi line was coming out. I pre-ordered one of their 25-31PCi's and waited patiently.

Then the day came...my UPS tracking number! I couldn't wait to see if the Sub would live...

            Game Review: the Sims
            by Joey Millison
I know, it's not exactly a brand-spanking-new game, but it's fairly new, and VERY cool in my humble opinion.

I was in Best Buy a while back and was looking for a new game. This is always a frustrating experience for me, as I always hoping to find something new and amazing, but always...
