Smart marketing for sure.
It's a good turntable, but after hearing it, I realized how much of a value my VPI Scout is.

Apparently the platter glows the same colour as the meters. For 8 grand I don't want the face plate blocking my view of my expensive turntable and my glowing platter! Something soothing about watching the vinyl spin...

Hi, I have some Rotel equipment and been very happy with them. I always like the meters and lights and build quality of the McIntosh looks. I've read forums where people say that McIntosh is out of Rotel's leauge and McIntosh is far better and superior. This sent me down a path of really wanting... -
I spent the last couple of years searching and demo-ing electronics to match up with my 803D's, but after obtaining some Mcintosh equipment a few months ago I started second guessing myself on if I had made the right decision or if I should have stayed with my original plan of buying Classe electronics....
