I usually lurk around this place, but am so worked up after the show that I just had to post some of my thoughts. These are in no particular order:
1. most "audiophiles" (AND manufacturers for that matter) have NO CLUE about what good sound is.

I just came back from RMAF. This was my first such HiFi show, DIY or otherwise. The whole experience was really cool. I got to hear many different kinds of systems. I highly recommend going to anyone who hasn't been to one.

Just got back from the RMAF. Dozens of speakers but no B&Ws shown. Anyway, I listened to a lot of really good speakers, many costing a lot more than my 802Ds, some like the Focal Utopias, the big Pioneers, and the big JBLs were really impressive. All cost many times the 802Ds.
