Exotic speakers too good to be true? Nirvana ??

Audio Nirvana DIY Full Range Speaker kits, DIY Full Range speaker projects. DIY Open Baffle Speakers, EL84 Tube Amplifiers.

they claim to be the best speaker you will ever listen to. and the 6.5'' drivers are only $98 a pair 8O

They are all full range requiring NO crossover....

these would be INCREDIBLY simple to build...

anyone heard them ? heard of them ??

what do you guys think ??

Well the ones I have heard just don't have the top end that a decent 2 way has. I just like having a tweeter.

Do they sell them out of a white van?

I don't know of any company that would say, "look, these are the WORST speakers out there... but buy them anyway!"

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

I checked out Zu, thier speakers seem of a similar design.

And the Fostex website seems identicle to the nirvana website... so it looks like fostex does use nirvana speakers...

I didn't know they where the biggest speaker manufacturer in the world... and mostly OEM speakers.... I wonder if my stock Subaru speakers are fostex ???

I really hope they sound better than those

I'm sure there is absolutely no distorting when the speaker plays a 50Hz bass note and a 10KHZ sound at the same time.

These look interesting, I've enjoyed the full-range drivers I've played with. Not fodder for the typical HT crowd, though.

Could the new Exotic tweeter be a candidate for a really low crossoverpoint? It sure has a lot of area as it is a 35mm tweeter.

I have seen some pictures of B&W speakers with some high gloss exotic finishes mainly on the 8 series, but I have also seen them on the 6 series.

Anyone know if there is a release scedule?

I think there they should have a "B&W Personal" option similar...

The wife and I quite enjoyed this one :T Touching story/characters by talented cast in bright, lively surroundings.

The sound won't knock your socks off/rattle the walls but dialogue is clear and "atmosphere" is well executed. There's also a few noisy India...

I was just looking at pictures coming out of the RMAF and admiring all of the speakers from manufacturers that use beautiful woods for their cabinets and was thinking that would just be the icing on the cake if the 800 series had that as an option. Woods like rosewood, ebony, walnut along with the figured...

As I understand it todays progressive scan DVD players don't actually output a true progressive signal, it's doublelined, and the reason for this is the signal coming off the disc is actually interlaced during the MPEG decoding process.
If this statement is true, do all MPEG decoders have to...
