Zero-autoformers and ZERO-boxes by paul speltz

Is anyone here using the above transformer, or tried it?

    Thanks.

I've used a pair of the naked autoformers. I used them to raise the 4 ohm nominal impedance (83 db sensitivity) of a pair of speakers to 16 ohms when being driven by a pair of 200W tubed monoblocks. What was readily apparent was the decrease in bass bloat at louder volumes. I haven't tried them with SS amps.

Thanks. I really want tubes, so I'm going to try a pair with tube amps and my Logans.

How high can an isobaric midwoofer pair reasonably be used?
        by DaveFred
Is there any inherent reason a pair of 6.5–7" midwoofers in a conventional isobaric arrangement can't be run cleanly to around 2 kHz?

Assume both drivers individually work well to 2 kHz. I am specifically wondering whether the isobaric arrangement itself — trapped air between the...

Pros / cons of using a pair of RS125's vs an RS52 as a midrange driver?
        by fjhuerta
        Hi all!

I'm on the planning stages of a new (for the moment) MTMWW speaker, which has been constantly changing in its design (see, Jon? You aren't the only one with 3 projects running at any given time! )

For the moment, I've settled on a pair of RS125's as mids, an...

What to do with a pair of Avalanche 15s?
        by Victor
I simply could not help myself but to snatch what appeared to be the last pair of Ave15 drives from Ascendant. Fundamentally I do not need them, but can you ever have enough bass?

Although my 3-way dipole system (can be seen here ) is not bass shy and it can do 20 Hz at a little more...
