I recently listened to 8 mapleshade cd's. Thanks Wkhanna for the tip. These Cd's are in the top 2% of my collection, in terms of sound quality. At $9.60 per cd, when you order 4 or more, are a very best sound buy. Several people were going to try them but I missed their feed back if they gave it. You can sample the sound of about 3 tracks on each cd. They have about 100 cds in several listening categories. I also just ordered 6 more of their cds. They allow you to return them within 30 days, for a refund if they don't match your TASTE.
Mapleshade CD's get 5 stars.

Coooooool!
I have about 20-30 of these Mapleshade CDs.
Great work, there!
Two of my favorites are Midnight Blue: Inner City Blues and The Redwine Trio - Baby Won't You Please Come Home!!
Not only is this a great sounding CD, but I really love the music!
And no matter how good the recording, if I don't like the music.....it ain't worth squat, to me.
Walter Booker Quintet - Bookie's Cookbook is another one of my favorites.
Here's a few more of my favorites from Mapleshade:
Andy McKee and NEXT - Sound Roots (listen to Hilltop Stomp.....so groovy) :B
The Euforia Trio - Euforia
J Street Jumpers - Is You Is Or Is You Ain't My Baby
Danny Knicely & Will Lee - Murders, Drownings and Lost Loves
Sunny Sumter with the Larry Willis Quartet - Sunny
The Euforia Trio - Euforia
Harold Ashby - Just For YouTony- Bottom

I like their "Ballads" sampler - lots of good stuff on there. A few recordings I didn't like because the drums were bleeding into the other mics and the overall balance was too forward.- Bottom
