    carver 4.0T magnetic field power amp

    does anyone know if this is a reliable 2 channel amp? how many watts per channel? and would it be a good addition to my RSX-1056 to drive my front speakers? any help as to magnetic field would be appricated.

      Not a bad amp. Don't run it with a 4 ohm speaker...

          I have had two of these amps since around 90-92, no problems with them.
          Rated 375W continuous per channel, or can be bridged as a single channel amp rated at 1000W.

                  1st they are thin sounding compared to your Rotel, which has been called "warm".
                  2nd, if buying used, use caution, as I have seen many with resistor issues, (all of the TFM series I owned had issues) in which they were hacked back together, with destroyed traces, etc...
                  Other than that they have been known to drive nails...................
