Need help with driving a B&W 803D speakers and also a digital Source

I just majorly upgraded my speakers B&W 704 with B&W 803D and have kept the integrated Cayin 88-T 22Watts per channel tube amp, which worked fine with the 704s, now with 803D I do not seem to be getting the element of presence, the detailing however is good as it should be from an excellent tube amp. I had auditioned 803D with Mcintosh MC 6900 and the sound was quite upfront bold and detailed.

The question is do I need to upggrade my amp and if so which one - the MC 6900 or DK Design VS-1 Ref MKIII or someother ?

I am also looking out for a source has anyone experienced Mcintosh MCD 201, Townshend TA 565 or Ayre C-5XE - any recommendations?
