From what I've read in Audioholics and others, the whole wire breakin thing is a scam. This is not my opinion this is just what I've read. I happen to agree with them based on lack of science. For that reason Iv'e never used them and do not have first hand experience.- Bottom

Doug (CAT & Quantum Cables) uses an Audiodharma (or something like that) cooker on the cables he sells.
I guess if the head CAT believes in cooking, then there is meaning to it. It's just hard to prove (or disprove) that it makes a difference.- Bottom

If one wants to test the efficacy of the device buy one and see.

by BentThe folks at Adire tech support have indicated to me that my ADA 1200 sub amp is equiped with a rumble filter set at 1.8 Hz. They said that by paralleling a pair of 11k resistors in the R48 and R51 positions (which should be 100K in each, as per OEM spec) should result in the cut-off frequency coming...-

by BentMy sub's amp (ADA 1200) has provisions to adjust it's low cut-off (rumble filter).
it is set at 1.8 Hz from the factory, and taking into account the fact that there is a likely roll-off to the rumble filter, which I don't know... can anyone suggest what freq. I should shoot for as a rumble...-
