From what I've read in Audioholics and others, the whole wire breakin thing is a scam. This is not my opinion this is just what I've read. I happen to agree with them based on lack of science. For that reason Iv'e never used them and do not have first hand experience.Comment

Doug (CAT & Quantum Cables) uses an Audiodharma (or something like that) cooker on the cables he sells.
I guess if the head CAT believes in cooking, then there is meaning to it. It's just hard to prove (or disprove) that it makes a difference.Comment

The folks at Adire tech support have indicated to me that my ADA 1200 sub amp is equiped with a rumble filter set at 1.8 Hz. They said that by paralleling a pair of 11k resistors in the R48 and R51 positions (which should be 100K in each, as per OEM spec) should result in the cut-off frequency coming...21 April 2005, 10:13 Thursday -
My sub's amp (ADA 1200) has provisions to adjust it's low cut-off (rumble filter).
it is set at 1.8 Hz from the factory, and taking into account the fact that there is a likely roll-off to the rumble filter, which I don't know... can anyone suggest what freq. I should shoot for as a rumble... -
