    Father's Setup

    Hey everyone,

    I pretty much stay over in the DIY section, but my father wanted to know how "good" his setup is. Nothing special...right now it's set up in our living room until we figure out how to configure it around our 52" Mitsubishi DLP...exciting. Mind you, he got all of this (sans the TV) around 1994 (I think).

    Here's the (small) list:
    Rotel RSP-960AX Surround Sound Processor
    Rotel RT-950BX AM/FM Stereo Tuner (don't use that much anymore, LOL)
    Rotel RCC-940AX Stereo CD Changer
    Rotel RB-956AX 6-channel Amplifier

    Speakers are a pair of B&W DM603's. I'm going to be building a subwoofer and possible some surround speakers in the future. I just wanted to ask you all what you think?

      It won't be up to date on decoding formats and new AV connections obviously but otherwise should sound pretty darn good :T

          On the rb976 one can link the inputs to all 3 stereo channels via a switch, yet on the rb956ax there is not that ability. If one were to make a 3 headed "Y" cable and plug the preamp out into all 3 channels on the rb956 - would that not act the same as the "switch"? Except opening...
