Just curious if anyone here has tried one of these in there system? I'm half tempted to give one a shot. Any feed back would be appreciated. Thanks

yep I've got one. What benefit you get from it is dependant on the system and components you use it inbetween. Its an impedance matching device - which can make up for compatibiltiy issues between componets and the pox analog output stages that you often get with a lot of source gear eg universal players. The other benfit is on the valve stage giving some of the valve feel to the sound in smoothness and bloom etc. The effect though is a lot more subtle/neutral than say the mf x-10D valve output stage of old.Originally posted by pearsall001Just curious if anyone here has tried one of these in there system? You honestly really need to try it in your system to see if there is any benefit and if you liek what it brings to the sound."Technology is a drug. We can't get enough of it."- Bottom

Hello,
I have a MF X-10v3, X-PSUv3, X-DACv3 being feed by an older Adcom cd transport. I love them!!
The X10v3 needs the X-PSUv3 to really shine. I also used the X-10 and XPSU on an older MF Dac (A-3.24) with nice results. Let it always stay on and let it "break in" for a week before serious listening. Things just sound more right. Listen to it for a week or two. Then take it out of the loop and the music will not have the life and bloom as before. Good quality RCA cables will help the X-10 deliver great sound.
OK, this is the part I do not fully understand nor can I explain. But, if you really what hear your music in full glory... Try the MF X-10v3 with the X-PSUv3. Listen for a week or so, and then order an umbilical power cable from Revelation Audio Labs (revelationaudiolabs.com) to replace the stock umbilical power cable that connects the X-10 and X-PSU. I am unable to put into words how amazing this will sound. Even from the next room you can hear the difference. This is an amazing combo that will deliver great sound!!!!!!
Best wishes

by TaitoSounds like fun project eh?
Ok, here's the background: I'm most of the way through an electrical engineering degree, love design work and am getting to love the smell of hot solder. I have what I consider to be a very nice stereo (CD player/Pre/Power : Rotel RCD-1072/RC-1070/RB-1080,...-

by theMaximusI have always been intrigued about the sound of vacuum tubes but have never been able to afford one. After reading some really good reviews, I just purchased this to try out. Musical Fidelity claims you can put this between your music source (CD player, IPOD, etc...) and your preamp or between your...-

by siberianLove my Pronto so far but I had a question that I can't find answered anywhere.
Does the Pronto hardware or Girder software have any sort of storage buffer? Here is what I am doing.

by audiofanI tried Musical Fidelity tube buffer X-10 V3 with rcd-1072 last night. Music now is awesome. Wide soundstage, clean, more detail...I'm in no way an audiophile, but i like the pair and i can hear the difference when playing CD through rcd-1072 with and without tube buffer.
It seems to...-
