    HD Radio

I installed a HD radio tuner in my truck and I'm pretty impressed. :T I'm getting to the point that if is not HD, I won't listen to it. Big improvement over normal AM and FM. I hope they start putting this in some tuner components. I just might start listening to radio again at home.

I installed a Kenwood DPX-301 with the optional remote HD reciever. I would think by next year most headunits will start to have the HD tuner built in. The beauty of HD radio is that its free. I would say its only downfall is that you have to be within 50 miles or so of the broadcasting station. If you want to read more check this link out.

Yeah, but what's the sound qaulity really like? The prices are still ridiculous for HD Radio for Alpine, they want $225 for the add on tuner!!!

I'm still not impressed by satelite sound quality either. Most stations sound like a poorly ripped MP3.

In terms of comparison where does it rank vs. CD & Sattelite?

It's not CD quality for sure, but it's big time better than FM or AM. You will always pay to jump on the band wagon with new technology. Next years car HU will be a lot cheaper. It's free, no monthly payments. I'm for sure not complaining. The sub-stations feature is very cool. It's like a station within a station.

              by tagman
              Hi all,

I just purchased a few rotel amps and a processor. I was hoping to buy
a new tuner with XM. I currently use xm through a receiver also tied in with my sytem.

Wanting to get rid of the receiver i figured i would purchase a new rotel
              tuner to keep...

              by june
              Hello All,

I'm thinking about adding this tuner to my 1068. Anyone have any comments about this radio tuner? The "RDS" is what I like about this tuner.

I am assembling my system, the first in quite some time, and I am using a Rotel RSP-1068, RMB-1075 and a RCD-1072. I am also using B&W 803S front speakers,HTM3S centre speaker and a ASW825 sub. (I haven't decided on the rear speakers yet.) I know that this may sound strange, but I am thinking...
