pink noise from cd player?

I have a Music Hall Maverick cd player, been using it daily for about four months and havn't had a problem until yesterday. i was listening to Pink floyd's the wall and when it got to track 7. Goodbye Blue Sky, about ten seconds into the song, it just started making a pink noise like sound, and it was really loud. sounded like there was a large waterfall in my living room. when i stopped the track, the noise stopped and when i started the track over, no problems the whole way thru.

Has anyone with this player or anyother player ever heard of this?

I'm going to call Music Hall Monday, but just wanted to hear opinions until than. Thank
