We recently purchased a tv/entertainment unit and the shelves are
too narrow to fit my old amplifers (standard rack unit width)
I am in need of a another amplifer. Will be driving rather insensitive speakers (~82dB/W) so will need to bring at least a good clean 100 watts to the table.
Does anything have experience with good compact (1'/30cm wide) amplifiers?
I don't have limits on height but it has to be narrower than the normal component width (~42cm)
I saw a Cyrus 7 and PSU, a couple of Marantz monoblocks on ebay, and this is the kind of size I was thinking of.
I want a long term hi-fi amplifier. My previous amplifier was the Rod Elliot P3A, 90Wx2 (8 ohm) and was a real champ.
