CDP-XXX / IDE to SATA converter

Long time ago, someone posted here a link from eBay were this converter could be bought, but this link is just out of date. Do you know the name, brand or model of this converter? If any DVD-ROM unit can be use with this item it is a must for owners like me!

Yes, I saw this forum days ago, but the thing is that this transport, the original one used in the CPP-XXX, it will always break, so having the opportunity of catching a SATA converter where you can use whatever DVD-ROM/DVD-RW unit you want should be a must for all CPD-XXX users. I remember the seller that tried several (at least 15 different units) ones and all of them worked, although the quickest one was always the original TEAC.

It's hard to say then without testing to see if the SATA converter would work.

Well, I just have bought a brand new this unit, IDE, same measure and slot-in, just like the original but from Sony, model Sony Optiarc AW-G630A-V2. Let's see if it works.

Let us know if this works and how the experience goes to swap it and then do a listening session.
