Long time ago, someone posted here a link from eBay were this converter could be bought, but this link is just out of date. Do you know the name, brand or model of this converter? If any DVD-ROM unit can be use with this item it is a must for owners like me!

Yes, I saw this forum days ago, but the thing is that this transport, the original one used in the CPP-XXX, it will always break, so having the opportunity of catching a SATA converter where you can use whatever DVD-ROM/DVD-RW unit you want should be a must for all CPD-XXX users. I remember the seller that tried several (at least 15 different units) ones and all of them worked, although the quickest one was always the original TEAC.I did some searching and this one came up: https://www.impactcomputers.com/dv-28sl.html

It's hard to say then without testing to see if the SATA converter would work.

It does not enable dual boot drive, the external sata overrides use of internal drive, so you can't access what is on the normal drive when using the sata connected drive. But you can enable much more space of course this way, that is...-

by Andrew PrattFYI XP (and all other Microsoft OS's) don't find SATA hard drives when you try to install them onto a fresh system...at least the first version of XP Pro doesn't...one with SP1 might. by LexWhat's this about, just the power supply connections, or is it about how you connect to the mother board as well?
I just put a new power supply in, and it has a place for sata connections it seems. But do motherboards have to have special consideration for this, or is this just about... -
by bigburnerCan anyone point me in the direction of a device that will connect the USB 2.0 output of my laptop to the AES/EBU input of my external DAC?
I'm hoping to find an inexpensive converter that will bypass the Windows Kmixer and therefore output a bit-perfect signal.
I know...-
