Jon, can you explain what this means to me?
A guy at another forum said that, so I quoted it.
Both of my triggers are not working on my Marantz 7702. First 1 quit working, then I went to number 2, then it quit working. Is he saying this is permanent, or a reset or a problem with the unit being plugged into a Panamax surge protector affecting the triggers?
I do happen to use a Panamax surge protector wirh the round blue dials.
Right now I have to turn my amps on manually. It's like the stone age. :B
Thanks Jon
Doug
"I did find the reason that trigger 1 is not working properly. It is not the 11.94v pulse that it initially emits but the 2.12v current that it drops to after the initial pulse. Trigger #2 (which works) has an initial pulse of 11.99v and drops to 3.95v.
Panamax requires the lower voltage to be no lower than 3.5 which is the reason why it begins to turn on and than suddenly turns off.
I hope this helps anyone who is experiencing trigger failure on the 7702."
