Hi guys, I'm sorry if this is way off topic. If it is, I'll understand if it has to go or gets moved.
The story is this- until this Tuesday I worked at a startup company designing wheelchairs and mobility equipment in downtown San Francisco. We were funded by grants, and over the weekend my boss had a reality check with the books. The grants are running out, and he had to cut heads to save the company. I had the least seniority, and although he laid me off he offered to serve as a reference.
If anybody knows any possible leads for mechanical engineers in the San Francisco bay area, specifically the east bay, I'd really appreciate if you could send me a PM so that I can send you my resume. Any other advice at this point would be most welcome.
Once again, I apologize for the off topic post. I just get a feeling that some of the folks on this board work in the area, or have friends who might. I'd like to think that I've conducted myself well enough here that I'm not thought of as an idiot.
Thanks,
Joe Carrow
