What Book After "Speaker Buildind 201"

    Friends,

I have read and digested much of the info in "Speaker Building 201" and I have learned a lot. I need more. I have heard from some that a book with a title something like "Crossover Cook Book" is a recogmended next book. What do you think?

I have experimented with FRDCs Passive Crossover Designer 5/10 but I am not able to contour a response. I have changed values to differant componets and have had some success but it was a crap shoot, I didn't know what I was doing. But mostly I couldn't get a flat response. I want to know.

I am sure that many will have various books to recomend, I want to hear all of them.
    Sincerely Bruh.

For your next book I recommend, "The Loudspeaker Design Cookbook" by Vance Dickason. After that, "Testing Loudspeakers" by Joseph D'Appolito. Then read them both again :W .

Working with the software is a good idea because you can "test" what you've learned in the books...plus, you can use the books to understand why the software acts the way it does. Good synergy.

Movie versions of books (or vice versa)
      by Chris D
This may be a good discussion. The topic is popular books that have been made into movies. By and large, my personal opinion is that movie renditions of good books fall far short for a few reasons. First, I think due to the media of print, books allow for a much more thorough immersion of the reader...

      Recommended books
      by NyxOne
      Hi Everyone,

So far I've read LDC (rev. 7), Loudspeaker Building 201 and Testing Loudspeakers (by Joseph D'Appolito). I need to buy a new book (and yes it has to be a book) and I'd like to have your input! ;x(

Any recommended reading? Maybe something on Psycho acoustics...

Q&A Thread for Dickason's "Loudspeaker Desgin Cookbook"
      by MarcE
I just finished reading Vance Dickason's "Loudspeaker Design Cookbook" (6th edition) for the third or so time, this time with pretty detailed notes and lots of questions! I was wondering if people wouldn't mind taking a stab at them

I'll post one chapter per reply and perhaps...

What Fantasy Books Would You Like To See Made Into A Movie?
      by David Meek
      Hi all,

In an ever widening attempt to find out what you like, and because Paul provided a nice segue in the Sci-Fi thread, what FANTASY books (or series) would you like to see made into REALLY GOOD movies or series of movies? Mine are:

The Martian Tales series by Edgar

      Speakers for Audio Books
      by TycoonBrad
Currently, I listen to audio books with my Sennheiser HD580 headphones, and would like to branch out to making some DIY speakers able to produce clean dialog. I love my headphones, but my wife wants to listen to the books now. I hooked up some old store-bought speakers I had, but we both had trouble...
