I had a dream, that one day I'll be walking through my home... touring with my guests, showing them first the least interesting parts of my home........the kitchen totally automated, the laundry room with washer and dryer deck out with touch screens, the touchless bathrooms and the backyard. Just to keep the wife happy. Then onto the more interesting areas............my listening room, dawned with a Mark levinson No32 preamplifier and a Krell 600c amplifier, Mark Levison's CD Transport and DAC Converter and finally a per of MG20.1 Planars.
After the Apertiv and listening to a few tracks from Miles, we move towards the Theater but first my guests stop.......The concesion stands........some popcorn, more drinks, a cigar....we shoot some pool................a friendly round.......................then the announcement........"The movie is about to begin"...................Now showing "The Haunting." They step inside......................The projector is lowered............fancy leather recliners with cup holders...........buttkickers each seat....................three levels of seating...15 in all. Martin logans flanking the front L,C,R, both sides and rears, processed by a Lexicon MC-1, powered by krells > monos and two channels amps. Three servo-15s. My Panasonic H2000 as transport to a Sony 50htu CRT Front projector onto a 100 ft Stewart screen.
The curtains pull away revealing the giant screen........... the movie begins............the gasps.... the whoas from my guests............ the room darkens, the fibre optic lighting in the ceiling twingles like a starlit night sky.........The subs engage......................the people are tense and ...and........and the darn alarm clock went off....I'm sorry it's time to go to work :uhoh:
What is your dream? The Ultimate home theater, the gear, the furniture, the rooms...Yeh I know, If we could just win the "BIG ONE" what would then be that ultimate setup for you? It would be interesting to know what you'd do with the money.
