    what a theater design

Greg Norman's YATCH home theater! located on this:

To give you a feel for how big this boat is, they can LAUNCH a 42 foot boat frm the deck of this ship and have several other smaller craft on board. The craft is over 200 feet long, and is powered by dual 2000 horsepower catipillar motors.

Yeah, talk about beautiful. I doubt there's a more beautiful room on land than these 2 below either, while not home theater, still could offer some design queues.

That monster was built just down the road (OK 20 KM!) from me and was a big media sensation here but aparently cost the ship yard a bundle due to cost over runs etc.
I would just like to be able to afford the fuel bill!
The 40 ft sport fishing boat on the back was built by Gregs own boat building business in the states.
I am sure local reports said there was actually 2 on board

Coming soon: The Chris D Home Theater, Name yet to be Announced
                        by Chris D
I'll hold on to the name that I'm going to use for my theater until it's complete.

I'm posting some pictures and info about my theater construction at the request of others here on the Guide. I thought someone might be interested to see this stuff. If you'd like to hear more, I'm showing...

Pictures of the entrance to my theater
                        by Chris D
I took a bunch of pics of my theater entrance and bar area, now that it's been (mostly) cleaned up and organized so much more. You see how everything is very light colored, with little decoration right now? I'd really like to change that, which is why I was thinking making/buying some entry signs...

                        VCRs, the next boat anchor?
                        by Lex
                        Survey says:

VCRs, do you use them? are they in the garage collecting dust? Destined to become a boat anchor on that yatch you've always wanted? (Or fishing dingy)

If they are in your system and you don't use it, is it actually hooked up?

                        If you use it, how...

                        Speakers for boat tower ...
                        by feetball
Can we discuss systems for non HT locations in here? If not, please delete this thread or let me know and I'll delete it.

A buddy of mine has a wakeboard boat and instead of him spending $1800 on two speakers for the tower, I was thinking about building a custom fiberglass enclosure...

Popcorn Machine for Your Home Theater Lobby
                        by Chris D
This is certainly a staple of home theaters. What would a home movie theater experience be without popcorn? Up to now, I've always just used the microwave popcorn bags or small hot air popper. But with my theater project, I just had to buy an antique popcorn popper to put in my rec room/theater lobby....
