Fax me!

Need a new fax machine, anybody got any tips? I see plain paper machines that use a thermal print process, what's that about?

I really want a compact unit and don't really want to spend a lot. Ink jet or laser would be good, but not absolutely necessary. Any ideas? I looked at Panasonics and HPs at http://www.officemax.com

I already have a good ink jet printer, and a flat bed scanner, so having a big bulky fax unit combo unit doesn't really appeal to me.

I have the HP Office Jet K-80 Fax machine/printer/copier/scanner.

I use it it for faxes. I use it for making quick copies and shrinking, it also copies in color. And I also use it for printing which it is very fast.
The print is of excellent quality.

I have never used the scanner.

Thing is,,that it works very well and has recently had a price cut.

To me, it's a bargain and reliable machine at it's price ,even if you don't use all it's features..
The fax is a 33kb modem.
