    Palm buys Handspring

"Palm plans to buy Handspring and spin off PalmSource as a
separate company, the company said Wednesday.

Palm is currently made up of two companies; PalmSource, which
develops the Palm operating system, and Palm Solutions Group.
After the spin-off of PalmSource, Palm Solutions Group will
merge with Handspring to create a new company, to be renamed
later in the year, Palm said in a statement.

Could this be the end of Treo????...stay tuned. I guess the big competitors will be Sony on the consumer front and RIM Blackberry on the business end.

Hmmm maybe Palm can start integrating all those nifty Handspring attachments.

That's just in the Palm world. I've omitted the Pocket PC's of course.
