So I purchased this computer less than a year 1/2 ago as a workhorse laptop to replace my fried desktop. I take it out & about sometimes, but at ~10 pounds, I can't carry it to class everyday. I never wanted to before, but now that option is starting to be more valuable. I searched a little online but couldn't find a free "blue book" service; if someone could point me to one, I'd appreciate it. For now, I'm going to post specs, and maybe someone can help me out on what I might expect to get if I sell it...probably on eBay, maybe person to person. Hopefully it could be enough to get a competent, smaller system. Thanks!
Dell Inspiron 9300
Windows Media Center edition 2005 (has remote & usb receiver)
17" wide screen with the special anti-glare, wide viewing angle coating (TrueLife)
1.86ghz 2megb 533 FSB Pentium M processor
1 gig memory (Two 512 mb modules)
256 mb Nvidia card
60 gig, 7200 rpm hard drive
DVD +/- RW, 8x
Wireless card from Intel, includes Bluetooth
MS Excel, Publisher, Powerpoint, Word
6 cell battery
6 usb ports, S-video out, monitor out, some other 'out' video port I don't recognize, an SD memory card port, 1394 port, and of course a phone jack & ethernet jack
This was nearly $2,000 when I bought it last August. Anyone want to estimate what it's worth now? $800? $1,200? Eh? I'd really like to hear $1,200, but your guess is better than mine, so just throw a number out if you don't mind :T
