Hi all,
Currently I'm using a Pronto to control my home media system. Its working well as far as the 'send commands and have them executed' context. In fact, its working incredibly well for that! I have a really complex distributed A/V system throughout the entire house and its completely Wife Approved.
However I want to take the next step. I'd like a remote that I can really program for, not just IR codes but also being able to push information back into it. Why? So that you can do things like browse iTunes playlists on it, view the Meedio movie library from it etc etc. Basically, to start controlling my system without needing an NTSC interface for it.
At this point cost is not a huge issue, I'm just looking at what my options are. In fact, I don't even mind writing completely custom code on top of a linux base OS if required.
Anyone have any ideas?
Tx
