Aluminium Desktop Case & Feet for Aussie

    Hi to all,

I was just hoping some of you kind folk could let me know or provide a link, to where I can source aluminium desktop cases and the metal round feet that you find on AV components.

Reason I ask is that I plan on gutting the case and having my step down transformer housed inside it so it can match the rest of my AV gear.

As it is, my transformer is plain butt ugly.

    Thanks in Advance,
    Andrew...

I don't know about Aussie's in particular but if you google HTPC's you should get a boatload of results.

Myself I like the Ahanix xases :T Gordon Moore posted a really SWEET unit with LCD a while back too

      Hello everyone!

For the last couple weeks I've been closely researching about a dozen MT and MTM speaker designs for 85% music, 15% games and I need help narrowing down my choices. I just finished an AMB Gamma-2 DAC to be fed by my laptop so I'm ready to replace my current desktop rig....

      Hello all.

I've browsed this forum over the years from time to time but now it's time to post.

I am embarking on a Mark K ER18DXT build with enclosures made from 19mm thick panels machined from solid 6061-T6 aluminium. Planned corner and panel bracing is 19mm square bar drilled,...

Can a 240V/240V isolation transformer be used with 120V/120V?
      by cdwitmer
I have gathering dust at my house an APC Matrix-UPS 5000, a 4.7kVA UPS that puts out very clean sine wave AC in normal operation. (When inverting from batteries to AC, the wave form is nothing to write home about: okay for computers but not what you would want to use for audio.)

Step-down (220->120) transformer noise: which route to take?

      Hi there,

I've just moved to Switzerland from Seattle area. I brought with me my set of cheapo-but-okay hometheater 5.1 speakers, the Logitech Z680 (bought in Canada, 120V version). I've plugged it into a 500W step-down transformer (from swiss mains which i believe are 220V 50hz). It...

For my next project I’m thinking about making some rather small speakers for use in an office-based system. Maximum size on the order of ~6.5ā€ wide x 10ā€ tall x 8ā€ deep. And try to make as high end of a design as possible with low distortion and such. Given that the listener will be closer...
