And the CDN price on XBox360 IS....

Not bad considering it is more than just a game thingy....

TORONTO — The Xbox 360, the first of the next-generation video game consoles, will start at $399.99, Microsoft announced today. There will also be a deluxe model for $499.99.

There is no specific release date at this time other than this holiday season, although one local retailer cited Nov. 9. The premium version will include a 20-gigabyte detachable hard drive plus a headset, wireless controller, faceplate, high-definition AV cable, Xbox Live Silver membership and bonus remote.

The core version comes with a wired controller, faceplate and standard cable. The original Xbox sold for $459 when it was released in November 2001. It now retails for about $240.

Sony is slated to release its PlayStation 3 next spring while Nintendo debuts its Revolution some time in 2006.

'course I wouldn't consider it until it hits $299 or less, probably when the Sony lands.
Sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here.

I will be standing inline to get it when it is released.
Reality is, in the longrun, the unit is the least expensive
part of the package. It's the games that add up over time.
$399 as a launch price is very decent.:T

Keep in mind the $399 is the stripped down w/o a hard drive version. With the way they are being preordered, you may not be able to stand in line release day and get one w/o a preorder. They aren't preordering too many if any of the $399 versions.

I kind of want one but I also realize that I may not even play it either like my current xbox which is collecting dust at the moment. PC gaming has taken over for me lately.

I hear that they are having issues with the worldwide launch, they are launching the system in US, UK, and Japan to close together. There was an article I read that said MS might run into issues where people that pre ordered may NOT get a 360 at launch! I hope thats not true. I reserved mine a while ago, before any details were released, I should be one of the first to get it
