How do I stop this pop-up when I connect?

    How do I stop this pop-up when I connect?

    This one comes up telling me to update windows messanger, but I'm not interested in using win mess at all.

    I don't know how to stop it.

    Windows XP ofice
    and Firefox

      Thanks Andrew, but it's Windows Messenger,
      I was able to get rid of the MS Messenger when it was showing up, but not this time.

        MSN Messenger == Windows Messenger.

        This link has more complete information, including how to do it in XP SP1 (and I presume, SP2 as well).

        Here's some more tweaks to surgically separate Outlook Express and Messenger:
