Hi,
Since quite a few of you own the Sanyo plv z1(or the 1hd), I am curious how you calibrated them and in what kind of conditions. Maybe I ask a lot and maybe it is a bit foolish since there are so many variables involved, but perhaps we can help each other out in obtaining an optimal picture!
To start with myself, I am using a mat white screen(dutch brand:rojecta), have full external light control and use an arcam dv88 plus for dvd viewing(progressive pal en ntsc).
I use a grey filter to obtain an better black level and depth of field, however I do experience a loss in contrast(therefore I wish to experiment further with a fld filter).
My settings:
Image 1
Brightness: 30
Contrast: 34
Colour 47
Tint 30
Red: 32
Green: 28
Blue:31
Low temperature
Gamma:12 (but that’s because of the grey filter)
Sharpness: 8.
I calibrated it with dvd discovery(European test dvd, comparable with Avia) and the thx optimizer from several dvd’s.
Regards,
Jurgen.
