New Sanyo PLV-Z2 Projector

This projector is one of many about to hit the market, but this one is catching my eye. It seems to be the lowest cost widescreen 1280x720 projector that will be available starting this fall at somewhere MAYBE near $2,000. 700 Lumens, 1200:1 contrast ratio. Supposed to be quieter than the Z1 also, which Sanyo will keep making since the Z2 is not a direct replacement.

This one is an LCD projector for those worried about rainbows. Not too much out there on the net about it, yet. Another good one coming out is the Sony HS20, which corrects several complaints about the HS10. Also widescreen 1280x720 LCD, MSRP $3500.

I haven't seen a street date for the Z2 yet but its already available in Europe so it shouldn't be long.
