    Video Cables

    Hi all
I have a sony HS1 projector and I want to make up a custom component video cable using the PJ multi connector to 3x RCA's.

Does any one know where I can get one of these connectors and what the pin outs are?

The cable that came with my projector is for stv composite video and the new cable from sony is only 5 meters. and it is really expensive about $ 200 us over here in South Africa.

    Cheers

there's a pin out diagram in the Sanyo Z1 that might match the Sony's pin out

given your location I don't know what to suggest other then to try some of the local computer shops etc. Even if they don't have one they might be able to help you find one.

          Hi Gareth,
You could try ZakSpeed.co.za for the connectors. Also eagle.co.za might have what you are looking for.

              RSP 1068 Component Video Drop-Out
              by raduray
I purchased a second hand 1068 about a year ago when I upgraded my sound system. It's been running well with my old SD TV system switching S-Video. I just got a Sharp 42D64U HDTV and connected it using Component Video. Component cable from the cable box to the Rotel and another compontent cable...

Thanks to reading your forum for the past few days, I pulled the trigger and purchased my 1066 yesterday. Whee!

I have a boat-load of questions, but here is my first:

Do you recommend that I use the 1066 for video switching?

I have an old Proxima 5800 that has been great for the occasional presentation around town. I've decided to use it with my playstation 2 and I'm having mixed results. I've connected the Playstation to a VCR and connect to the 5800 via a Video component cable (the yellow one). At first the games run...
