Yeah, I got to see the RS2 last year at CEDIA, and it freakin' ROCKED. It was my #1 choice for a PJ, but I couldn't afford that kind of $$$, so I went with a Panny AE2000. Very happy with it.

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

I've owned 4 JVC LCOS projectors and they are always pushing the envelope with great picture quality.
But I'm going to be waiting a bit longer to get this level of quality, with a bit more brightness (I've got a big screen to light up) all for a bargain price.
Even though I predicted years ago that 1080p FPTVs would drop under $2K by this year, it's still somewhat amazing that it has actually come to pass. :T
And now BluRay has won the HD-DVD format war, so hopefully we will start seeing more HD movies available soon, and I think that Sony and BluRay will try to make inroads into the MUCH larger regular DVD market with lower HD media prices designed to draw in the mainstream buyers to the HD fold. 8)
But I'm definitely slipping from early adopter status, and I'll be waiting just a bit longer before I get my 1080p projector, and BluRay player.
At least until the available HD movies number in the thousands of titles, and prices drop to regular DVD levels.- Bottom

You are missing out, I rent my Blu Ray DVD movies and the PS3 has been rock solid and is regularly updated.
I have a 10 feet wide screen and can tell you the JVC does an amazing job.
Panasonic AE2000 is very nice that was my second choice.Farming looks mighty easy when your plow is a pencil, and you're a thousand miles from the corn field."Dwight D. Eisenhower- Bottom

Yeah, I'm sure that it does look great!
Ive got a 720P FPTV, and 1080p LCD display, HD-DVD and HD-DSS, so I'm not feeling too bad.
There is always something better and cooler out there, and I'm just going to have to wait on the next upgrade for a little while yet. I probably will get a PS3 within the next 6 months, and upgrade to a 1080p FPTV in the next year or so.
Enjoy your RS2. I've only heard great things about the unit. :T- Bottom

by theSvenThe time had finally come to upgrade the projector in the theater to 4K. I have a friend that uses JVC in the area and having seen many movies on his JVC I loved the vivid colors and the blacks. I was using a second hand Sony VPL-VW50 (White Pearl) since 2013 and it did great for 1080P. The only thing... -
