    FPTV Mounting (Ceiling)

I'm getting ready to mount my projector (Sanyo Z4) on the ceiling - currently running power and signal cables through the attic. I have two questions:

    1) Are there any alternatives to purchasing a custom mount, I'd rather not spend the $150+ dollars for one?

    2) Generally, what is the maximum distance the PJ can be above the screen and still square up the image? I guess this depends on the amount of keystone available. I looked in the manual, but it didn't say.

I purchased my mount from a local manufacturing company here for around $30. Its simple and very sturdy. Ill see if I can find the company name.

also, stay away from the plastic ball joint style.

Those look good, now if I can get an answer to question #2...

Was there a image offset spec in the manual?, also what is the height of your screen?

I would stay away from using keystone if at all possible. Your manual will have how far above (or below) the top of the screen you need to go. The more keystone you use, the less pixels of the chip you will be using.

If you do use keystone, remember that the projector distance will change slightly. So don't be at one extreme distance or the other.
