    Question about pricing

I am about to move into an apartment so I do not have time to wait for the SED units to come out.

From reading this forum it seems Sony SXRD RPTVs are the way to go. I started looking for used televisions so if I decide to get an SED unit in the future, I will not be out as much money.

I went onto Craig's list and one person is selling a 60" (new model) for $4000 which includes a $1000 protection plan. They say it is 3 months old and cost $6000 new.

Another person is selling a 50" for $2900 that they bought in January 2006.

On Best Buy's website the 60" is going for $3500 and the 50" is going for $2500. What gives with the used prices being more expensive?

    Boone38,

Thanks for starting a great thread today.

Last year's models were more expensive by a fair margin than this years. IMO you're WAY better off getting a new model.

      Canadian Pricing On Dvds
      by George Bellefontaine
With the Loonie pushing .85 cents against the US buck, one would think there would be less of a difference in the US / CDN pricing of dvds. US msrps on new releases seem to be around $18, but often these are retailed at $12 to $14 or less, while the same titles in Canada at low priced retailers like...

Contemplating selling off my 800's because I find I mainly enjoy listening to music in the car (actually truck - Just bought a Pioneer 3300BT and a iPod 160GB classic - the sound quality over the stock head unit is phenomenal!! quality aftermarket speakers/power amp should really be sweet!) and don't...

      HTM2 Diamond pricing question?
      by kpodolski
I'm thinking about selling my HTM2 Diamond center channel and was wondering what the market will sustain right now.

Home theater has fallen off the cliff for me and I haven't used the speaker in about two years.

I've checked all of the usual places (eBay, audiogon, US...
