Problems with Panasonic PT-AE100U

Well i've had this projector for well over a year or so now, got it off ebay. The lamp now has around 3500 hours. Just recently the projector started turning itself off w/ the lamp indicator flashing. Now it never said replace lamp, and hte manual states that this could be if i turned it on right after turning it off. Well after letting it sit for ten minutes it still does this, which according to the manual indicates lamp circuit failure.

Well my question is, since i most likely have no warranty whatsoever, are you aware of any forums or websites that could assist in diagnosing the circuit. I have no issues with soldering anything, just a way of checking over the circuit would be nice. I simply just don't have the money for a new projector and I have absolutely loved the time with this thing .

You have a few options:

1) Buy a new lamp, this may or may not be the primary issue. Also, pull out the old lamp and check circuitry and then reseat, 3500hrs. is at or near the end of lamp life for most projectors.

2) Call Panny tech support, 1.800.524.1448, and ask for advice, least expensive option and they may provide over the phone diags.

3) Download the service manual:

Just my quick thoughts, I'm sure others will chime in.

Thank you for that link, but does anyone already have that service manual somewhere? And thanks for the panasonic support number, i noticed i didn't have that in my papers.
